Founded in 1957 as the first of two colleges in the Foothill-De Anza Community College District, Foothill College along with its sister school, De Anza College, serves the district’s communities of Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale and portions of San Jose. Foothill College offers online and on-campus classes for every interest, including transfer, career preparation and enhancement, and basic skills mastery. Its faculty and staff support and nurture students in an environment that is personal and serene. The 122-acre college is known for its award-winning architecture designed by architect Ernest Kump and landscape architect Hideo Sasaki.
