College of the Siskiyous

College of the Siskiyous, founded in 1957, is in Weed and Yreka in Siskiyou County. It is the northernmost college in California and the only college in Siskiyou County. It lies in the service area of California State University, Chico. It is also one of only ten community colleges in the state that provide on-campus dormitories for students. The college is known for its administration of justice program and fire academy. Music, theater, media communications, and visual arts are of significant importance to the College of the Siskiyous because students from every major participate in these classes and activities to enrich their education.
