About the college

Lassen Community College, established in 1925, is in Susanville and is part of the Lassen Community College District. The district serves the Honey Lake Valley communities of Susanville, Janesville and Herlong, and outreach areas including Alturas, Big Valley and Westwood. In addition to classrooms, laboratories and offices, it has a dormitory, a library, cafeteria, computer rooms, a large gymnasium, stables, barn, a rodeo arena and outdoor recreation facilities including a ski hill. Although the college serves one of the larger geographic areas of the state, the population is relatively small.
